The greatest Niger fan you can find - this blond Scandinavian cannot think of a better way to live her life than working for Eden Foundation in the Tanout zone. This blog is about living life as an unpaid volunteer, trying to make the best out of every day (sometimes possible, sometimes not) while helping the people of the least developed area of the least developed country in the world achieve a sustainable life.

I enjoy your blog. I especially appreciate your viewpoint as reflected by this entry. I found your blog months ago when I was searching for "horse" blogs. You have much to offer through your writings regardless of "horse" or not. So I keep checking back. Your openess with Real Life Stuff leaves me feeling connected with you, with myself, with people and places I've never experienced first hand. I wish you all the surviving and all the thriving energy you need, through this period of your life, and forever.
@Ljb: So glad you dropped by, and even glad you wrote a comment! I love getting to know the people who read this blog (the more regulars, the merrier!) and a comment always means a lot. I'm glad you found other things more than the horses, although I will be blogging about them again (although perhaps not as intensely as I was in the beginning when racing was new to me...) on Ishtar's Ark, which starts for real after I am back in Niger, which is at the end of the month.
Glad you dropped by and hope to see you again!
Ishtar
